Cooperation Polski System Dystrybucji, with its central hub in Piotrkow Trybunalski, exists since May 2004. This common enterprise of several affiliate and shareholding companies has received legal status in April 2005. The task of P.S.D. is to create a chain of transport connections at the whole of the country area using possessed or rented means of transport, and regional storehouses to distribute general cargo.
Origin of the distribution system was justified by the necessity of loads consolidation on a held transport lines, reasonable transportation use by all of the partners in both carriage relations, in this way lowering costs – these related to transshipment as well. Apart from the purpose and basis of common enterprise, each partner sets up its own billateral cooperation in system’s extent. P.S.D. chain is also transporting long loads and dangerous ADR commodity.
Polski System Dystrybucji collaborates with three big German forwarding cooperations, that gather multitude of forwarding agents, which send general cargo to central transshipping storehouses. German forwarding cooperations are collaborating with similar but much smaller corporations from France, The Netherlands, Belgium, Austria as well as other countries in European Union and from outside.
Thanks to this partnership, branches of P.S.D. are offering to their clients transport of general cargo in Western Europe and Bulgaria (export from Poland), including dangerous ADR commodity. Apart from collaboration with chains there is simultaneously cooperation with individual foreign forwarding companies specialized in specific carriages – for example: transport of customs shipment from port in Hamburg, air shipment from Frankfurt on the Main, as well as in smalls export to countries located on the Baltic coast (Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia).
